sisterly bond

jaimie and i took our sister trip about 2 weeks ago to the tetons

we were hoping for more cousin involvment but didn't work out so we decided to have a great time together. i'd like to report that jaimie is getting better at reading a map and it's nice that she can drive now too. our cali trip before my mission was quite eventful, but the 7 year gap keeps getting better with time. kinda corky at times too like last summer when we both were dating 24 yr olds. kinda weird if you ask me.

so friday night we dressed up for the night in jackson
this is the bar i wanted to sneak jaimie into (i even had 2 extra i.d.s) but it was too old of a crowd.

instead of sneaking into a bar...(she's more righteous than me) jaimie ate her first fancy meal... she had elk medallions... i had beef medallions...thanks to a little parental help with the meal we ate like queens or er... cowgirl princesses?

we camped that night and then kayaked on jenny lake...after the kind boat people told us we had put in in the wrong place and to hurry and go under the bridge before the park service caught us and fined us...

who knew? the booth lady should have given us some more instructions the kayaks were in an obvious place to see...


also later we found out we were supposed to have paid for a permit to even go on the lake...dang government! who actually even works for the park service anyways with all these fees and such!

then we did a little hikey hike... to hidden falls, inspiration point and a lil' around the lake

jamie tried to look tuff with her circular mosquito bites from horseback riding...her hiking attire doesn't seem to be church university standards... hmmm....
it was a quickee but a good one....
